-He pretends that it was a suave kiss, but really…

-It was really dorky and neither of you really knew what you were doing.

-That being said, it was still super cute and innocent.

-He probably tried to initiate it a few times, but chickened out. He's really flirty and extroverted, but with someone he actually has feelings for??? He didn't want to screw up by kissing you too soon.

-But surprise! You wanted to kiss him just as much as he wanted to kiss you!

-Eventually, you caught on to his attempts and took pity on his sudden shyness.

-Both of you blushed like crazy afterwards, but at least you didn't like, smack your foreheads together or something.

-He vows to get better at kissing by practicing a lot with you. You both blush again.

Keith

-Once you get your first kiss out of the way, the rest of this kisses will come easier.

-But it's actually getting that first kiss which is difficult.

-At this early stage, your relationship mostly consists of shy glances from across the room, tiny smiles, and linked pinkies when you're alone. He doesn't really want to scream to the world about his relationships.

-So it's hard to find a place and mindset where he'd be comfortable kissing you. You don't want to make him feel awkward or upset by kissing him around people, or without his beforehand knowledge.

-You'd have to warm him up to the kiss over a few weeks: slowly turn the linked pinkies into full blown hand-holding (still in private, mind you). Sit beside him at meals and events, instead of across from him. And give him cheek kisses before lip kisses, so you can both get used to the sensation.

-He clues in pretty early that you want to kiss him, and he appreciates that you're taking your time to make sure he's comfortable.

-When he finally kisses you, it's soft and short and sweet, but his anxiety melts away and he becomes far more open to more frequent kisses.

Hunk

-You guys are already pretty affectionate with each other, so a kiss is kind of like the next step, right?

-It would be the least awkward out of everyone. Your relationship kind of just…progresses at a comfortable pace? You move from hand holding to hugging, to cuddling to forehead kisses.

-By the time you share a kiss with each other, you're already ready for it.

-It's nothing astounding and mind blowing? It's just a soft kiss, as first kisses usually are.

-But it's really nice, because now you have a new way to express your feelings for each other.

-You're just really adorable and in love!

-Maybe you guys knew each other from high school. You probably did. But you never really got a chance to know each other, y'know? You had only maybe shared some classes.

-But he recognizes you in his first year at the garrison, and you hit it off. You're a familiar face and you have common interests (aka you're both giant nerds).

-You guys train together and study together, and you become really good friends.

-So he eventually confides in you and lets you know that he worries about his future a bit. The garrison is so secretive and the field of work he's headed towards is very time-consuming. He still wants to get to know people, and maybe have a family one day…but dating is hard when you can't tell someone about a huge part of your life.

-Your solution is simple: date someone who has the same kind of life.

-So there you are, in his room. He's on the floor, and you're laying on his bed on your back and looking at him upside down, and you're both surrounded by books and papers and bright computer screens.

-He leans over and kisses you gently, and you cup his jaw and kiss him back. It's kind of strange, because you're upside down and he's rightside up. You both start smiling partway through.

-It's a perfect segue from friendship to romantic relationship.

Pidge

-10/10 so embarrassing.

-This is not only your first kiss with each other, but your first kiss in general.

-Like, what do you do with your lips? What about your noses?? You can't just remove your nose from your face. Do you close your eyes or keep them open???? What about your hands??????? She's really cute but you seriously don't wanna cop a feel like in the movies???????????????
-Eventually you kind of just complain to her that you want to kiss her but you don't know how.

-She turns bright red, but she sympathizes with you. She's the same, after all?

-You both agree that all the hype around first kisses is a load of bullshit, and that it's not a big deal, and that it's pretty much always awkward.

-So you just…kiss. To get that terrifying first one out of the way. And you dissolve into giggles because you're pretty sure your nose is bruised, and her glasses are askew, and both your faces are so warm they may catch on fire.

-It's so innocent it actually hurts my soul.

-The rest of your kisses are significantly less awkward.

Allura

-Your first kiss with her is probably her first kiss overall.

-She was never shown to have any romantic interests or partners in the past, possibly because of how young she is, but also likely because she's royalty, and thus spent most of her time learning about and taking care of her people.

-She feels less anxious about kissing you than she does sad: she wishes her parents could have met the person she's willing to give her heart to.

-You brush her hair off her face, and softly press your lips to hers. Her cheeks are warm in your hands when you pull away, and you smile gently at her and say, "Your parents would be proud of you for all you've accomplished, and the person you've become."

-More little kisses follow shortly afterwards, initiated by both you and her. She finds comfort in having you close.

-You may've had to wait a while to finally get permission to kiss Allura, but it's worth it. She puts a lot of feeling into each kiss you share, and the first one is no different.

Matt

-He's not as awkward as Pidge was, but god was he clueless to your intentions!

-He joined the garrison hoping to learn a lot and go far in life; he never expected for such an adorable person to be in all of his classes.

-Scratch that, he never expected such an adorable person to actively seek him out, and express their interest in him???

-It doesn't take him long to get comfortable around you, and before long you're one of his best friends. He even brings you home to meet his family (though you probably already know his dad from the garrison).

-You're a little over halfway into your first year at the garrison by the time you start getting frustrated. You've been flirting with Matt for months, and he hasn't even remotely shown any signs of liking you back. He took you home to his family, sure, but…

-You approach him one afternoon at lunch, a determined pout on your face. You need answers, so you ask him bluntly, "Matt, can I kiss you?"

-He goes red as a beet, but nods. He hid his feelings so as not to upset your friendship, so he's pretty nervous still.

-His face squinches up when you approach him, and his shoulders get tense. You tell him that if he doesn't want to kiss you, it's okay- but he's already pulled you in by the jacket and smooshed his lips against yours.

-You're vaguely aware of some of the older students whistling at you from around the cafeteria, but neither of you really care.

-When you pull back his glasses are foggy and -if you also wear them- so are yours. You awkwardly giggle, and hold his hand for the rest of lunch.

-You guys stay together in the years until he leaves for the Kerberos mission, upon which time he slips a tiny box into your pocket and asks if you'll wait for him?

-When you're reunited in space, you have the promise ring he gave you on a chain around your neck.

-Oops I got carried away. (I love Matt okay?)
