Hoow to Make Highlighters Turned Black Yellow Again

According to your description, we tested on our side.
When we choose yellow as a highlight color, you could compare the test part in light and dark mode.(OneNote for Windows 10)
When we tested in OneNote 2016, we still didn't reproduce the same issue as the screenshots shown:
If you are using OneNote 2016, we suggest you repair your Office. Reference for you: Repair an Office application
If you are using OneNote for Windows 10, we suggest you reset it via right-click OneNote for Windows10>More>App settings>Reset
If the solutions above don't work, could you please provide us the following information for better understanding?
1. We need to confirm with you about your steps, if possible, could you please provide us a related screenshot?
2. Your subscription via click :
File>Account>Product information(OneNote 2016)
"…">Settings>About(OneNote for Windows 10)

Have you tried the suggestions mentioned above? Are you able to view highlighters in dark mode in OneNote?

Hi Sandro
I meant the markers and highlighters under the "Draw" tab, not the regular text highlighters. The Draw highlighters don't work in dark mode.
Unfortunately, your advice didn't apply. It's still not working with a pen on my touch screen laptop. I use OneNote for Windows 10.

Thanks for posting back.
According to your last reply, we tested on our side. When we use highlighters under "Draw" tab in dark mode, we encountered the same issue as you mentioned before.
In this way, we sincerely suggest you give feedback within apps via "…">Settings> Feedback. Your thoughts are essential to us.

Hi Yara,
Really sorry for the inconvenience caused by the behavior.
After further testing at our end, we noticed the behavior encountering in the OneNote for Windows 10 application is by design when the background is set to "Dark". Some colors like Pale Blue, Light Gray, Gray, etc. are not highlighting as it shows in light theme and I think this could be because the light colors are absorbed on the black themes.
I do understand the importance of using the Dark theme at your end and using the Highlight feature in the OneNote for Windows 10. In this situation, you can use the highlight feature with some bright colors.
Besides, we also reported this behavior by adding our feedback in the OneNote for Windows 10 application as it will reach to the related developing team. So, we also request you to add your valuable feedback which is the best way to report and bring notice to the related team.

In the draw tab use the pencil with light colors as a highlighter.... This is a temporary solution
